Career Prospects of Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) in Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India

Development Officer as a career is a Challenging job.  It is primarily a sales supervision field job. The most attractive point in this job is freedom of working hours, performance based incentive amounts.  If you perform well no one questions your working style.  You will be paid not only the salary but also performance linked incentive amount. Generally this incentive amount is more than your salary amount.

The selected candidates will be required to recruit agents, train them properly, and help the recruited agents to sell life insurance to maximum number of persons.  They will also be required to give after sales service to policy holders. For this purpose considerable movements including tours covering entire area allotted to them are involved.

The selected candidates will be appointed as Apprentice. They will be paid a fixed amount as stipend.  At present it is Rs.12,421/- per month.  After completion of apprentice period they will be appointed as Probationary Development Officers in the scale of 7440-450(2)-8340-520(2)-9380-540(17)-18560. The total emoluments in this scale is Rs.14,528/- at present.  The scale of pay is under revision. So in near future it is going to enhance.

Senior Branch Manager(SBM)

Branch Manager(BM)

Assistant Branch Manager(ABM-Sales)
