Age limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2013. No Relaxations.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess 10^th standard or ITI or equivalent for Grade Pay Rs. 1800, pass in matriculation or its equivalent for Grade Pay Rs. 1900 & 2000, Matriculation or its equivalent with 80 words per minute in Shorthand (English) for duration of 10 minutes which will be transcribed in typing in 65 minutes for Grade Pay Rs. 2400 and a university Degree or its equivalent for Grade pay Rs.2800.

Application Fee: Candidates applying for Grade Pay Rs.2400 & Rs.2800 must pay Rs.60/- and Rs. 40/- for Grade Pay Rs.1800, Rs.1900, Rs.2000 in the form of Demand Draft/ Indian Postal Order. No fee for SC/ ST, OBC/ Ex-Servicemen/ Women/ PWD/ Minority candidates.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in the Trails and interview or certificate verification.

How to Apply: Candidates have to apply in a prescribed format on A-4 size paper or can visit the website www.eastcoastrail.indianrailways.gov.in for prescribed application format. Fill the Application, affix 2 photographs, attest signature on the application, 2 thumb impressions in the specified place, certificates for proof of Sports achievements, educational qualification, age, caste, DD/IPO, super scribe the application as “Application against Sports Quota (Open Advt.) Recruitment for the year 2012-13” and send the applications to the prescribed address (Candidates can please refer the notification for the address) on or before 28-01-2013.
