Indian Air Force Recruitment 2012 – Commissioned Officer Vacancies
IAF Careers 2012 – Airmen Group Y Trade Vacancies: Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued notification against recruitment as Airmen Group Y Trade vacancies. Applications are invited from unmarried Sportsmen (Male) belonging to various Sports disciplines. Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format on or before 21 days from the date of publication. Other details like age limit, educational qualification, application fee details, selection process and how to apply are given below…
IAF Vacancy Details:
Name of Post: Airmen in Group Y Trades
Age Limit: Candidates should be born between 25-07-1991 to 25-12-1995 both days inclusive.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Intermediate or 10+2 in Science/Arts/Commerce from recognized board or equivalent.
Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Sports Skill, Interview and Medical Examination.
How to Apply: Candidates need to download application format available in the notification, fill it with all mandatory details, attach photograph, attest signature, super scribe the name of the post to be applied for on the envelope and send it along with copies of all relevant certificates, to the following address, Secretary, Air Force Sports Control Board, C/O 412 Air Force Station, Race Course, New Delhi – 110 003 on or before 21 days from the date of publication.
Last Date for Receipt of Application: 21 days from the date of publication

As per the notification the candidates applying for the post of Airmen in Group Y Trades in IAF should must have passed in 10+2 in arts/science commerce groups from a recognized university and the individual should have represented the state or country in Junior international meets in relevant sports disciplines.

As per the notification the candidates who passed 10+2 from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the posts in IAF but the candidate must represent state and nation in any of the sports disciplines.
