Age Limit: Candidates age should be 40 years for post A & E, 35 years for post B, 28 years for posts C & D as on 03-07-2013. Age relaxation is allowed as per the rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/ Civil/ Structural Engineering from recognized university for post A, Masters Degree for Post B (1), Post Graduation for post B (2) , Bachelors Degree for post B (3) in concerned fields, Diploma in concerned fields for posts C (1, 2, 3, 4 & 5), Bachelors Degree for post C (6), passed in 10th for post D, Bachelor Degree from recognized university for post E & M.Sc in relevant fields with 60 % marks for posts F.
How to Apply: Interested candidates may apply online through website www.niot.res.in on or before 26-06-2013, take print out of application duly sign, recent passport size photograph, documents in support of age, qualification, caste, experience in an envelope clearly indicating the Advt No, Post No, Post Name & Discipline should be forwarded to The Director, National Institute of Ocean Technology, Velachery – Tambaram Main Road, Pallikaranai, Chennai-600100 on or before 03-07-2013.

As per the notification Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation or equivalent from a recognized university/Institute with at least first class (60%) is essential and Experience with installation and servicing of Oceanographic Sensors like tide gauges, currents meters is desirable to apply for the posts of Project Scientist – I and Project Scientific Assistant in NIOT.

sir i did applied for project scientist-I scientific position. There is no short listed info given @ niot website as such till then….when will be applications get shortlisted and when will be interview conducted…. plz inform about interview if it is already done
interview has already been conducted. It started from 25 of march. Those shortlisted called for written exam in almost 1:13 ratio, then interview was done in 1:3 ratio same day,but final result hasn’t been published till now
