- Try to use same font from top to bottom of the Resume document (preferably Arial or Times New Roman font)
- It is good, if you increase font-size of headings (Objective, Qualification, Academic details etc) in resume compare to contents below headings. Example: If you maintain font-size: 10 to the Contents, Content headings should be font-size: 12
- Make sure to bold the Important words (Which you want high light to employer) and Headings like Objective, Qualification, Academic details etc.
- Try to keep Good indentation across the Resume. Means, Keep one tab space before starting of each paragraph in resume.
- There are possibilities of viewing your resume in different document viewers (Internet browser, WordPad etc), so try to reduce or avoid using Images/graphics.
- Keep in mind that if you use non regular fonts and more graphics, employer may not see correctly, what you have mentioned in your resume.
- If you are using Microsoft Word advanced version, try to save in Word 97 – 2003 Document Format. This helps to employers or resumes viewers who use older versions.
