SBI Recruitment 2011 – www.statebankofindia.com: State Bank of India (SBI) is the largest state-owned banking and financial services company in India. The State Bank of India, the country’s oldest Bank and a premier in terms of balance sheet size, number of branches, market capitalization and profits is today going through a tremendous phase of Change and Transformation.

SBI had seven associate banks., State Bank of Hyderabad ,State Bank of Indore ,State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ). But now SBI has only six associate banks that with SBI constitute the State Bank Group. On 13 August 2008 when State Bank of Saurashtra merged with SBI. State Bank of India has 131 foreign offices in 32 countries across the world. SBI has about 21000 ATMs and SBI group(including associate banks) has about 45000 no of ATMs. SBI has 26500 branches, inclusive of branches that belong to its Associate banks. SBI alone has 13076 Branches (including the branches of State Bank of Indore), as on 26 August 2010.

SBI Generally recruits every year for the recruitment of Clerk, PO and Specialist Officers, Management Trainee, IT professionals and Technical Officers, Advisors vacancies. SBI released recruitment notifications of Clerk 11000 vacancies in 2009 and 6300  vacancies in 2010 AND also released 1717 PO vacancies in 2009, 4500 vacancies in 2010 also released various notifications like IT Professionals, Management Trainees and Specialist Officer vacancies in 2010. In the future also SBI requires lots of people for above posts in SBI Recruitment 2011.
