Age limit: The candidate’s age limit is 20-25 years for the posts of Sub-Inspector in CPOs and Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF, 20-27 years for the post of Intelligence Officer in NCB as on 24/06/2011, relaxation as per Govt rules.

Educational qualification: Candidates pass with Bachelors Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

Application fee: The application fee for Rs 100/- (No fee for SC-ST/EXSM/Women candidates) in the form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp for offline candidates. Central Recruitment Fee Stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country. CRFS should paste on the application form in the space given the application form. (OR) State Bank of India challan or online payment through State Bank of India for online application.

Selection process: The mode of selection is written test/interview/personality test basis.

How to apply: The eligible candidates have to apply either online or offline.

Online Application Form: Candidates have to apply through online from the www.ssconline.nic.in website on or before 21/06/2011 for the part 1 Registration and 24/06/2011 for the part 2 Registration up to 5.00 PM. The filling of online application contains two parts that means part 1 Registration and part 2 Registration, candidate will have to fill basic information in the part 1 Registration, candidates should press I Agree button after declaration. After that Registration No. will appear on the screen, note down the registration number or take out a print out of the page, part 2 registration contains filling of payment details, uploading of photograph and scanned signature.

Offline Application Form: Candidates can also apply through offline in prescribed format given in the advertisement, together with attested photo copies of all required essentials and enclosures, to the respective address on or before 24/06/2011, (For remote areas 01/07/2011).

Important dates:
Closing date for online part I: 21/06/2011, up to 5.00 PM.
Closing date for online part II: 24/06/2011, up to 5.00 PM.
Last date for offline application receipt: 24/06/2011, (For remote areas 01/07/2011).
Date of written test: 28/08/2011.
