West Bengal Postal Circle Recruitment 2012 – 406 Postal & Sorting Asst Vacancies: West Bengal Postal Circle has issued notification against recruitment of 406 Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant Vacancies in Savings Bank Control Organisation at various Divisions and Units in West Bengal. Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format on or before 01-10-2012. WB Postal Circle Vacancy Details:
Total No of Vacancies: 406
Names of Posts: Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant
Age Limit: Candidates’ age must be between 18 and 27 years. The crucial or the cutoff date for determining age limit would be 01-10-2012. (Age relaxations will be extended as per rules).
Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess 10+2 Standard or 12th Class pass with at least 60 % marks and above from any recognized University with English as a compulsory subject and should have studied local language of the State or Union Territory of the Postal Circle concerned or Hindi as Subject at least in Matriculation or equivalent.
Application Fee Details: Applicants need to pay Examination Fee of Rs. 200/- (No fee for SC/ST/PH and Women candidates) and it should be deposited in a Post Office of the circle and obtain ACG-67/UCR receipt, Rs. 50/- for Application form and it is available at all All Head Post offices and identified Post offices in the Circles.
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Aptitude Test and Typing Test / Computer Test.
How to Apply: Eligible Candidates may apply through prescribed application format available at all Head Post offices and identified Post offices in the Circles. Dully filled application form along with Copies of relevant certificates and original receipt of ACG-67/UCR issued by the identified Post Office of this Circle towards payment of Examination fee have to be sent to “Direct Recruitment Cell, New Delhi HO, New Delhi-110001″ on or before 01-10-2012 through Speed Post/Registered Post of India Post only.

sir, i got my application form .but now i have to pay rs 50 to any post office to take a fee receipt.

No need to pay amount of Rs.50 as the application fees after getting the application. The Male candidates have to pay only Rs.200 at the time of submitting the application.
i got an application form from indiapost after give my details, now where i will pay my form cost rs50??

The candidates who got the application form to the mail are not supposed to pay Rs.50 regarding application fees. The candidates have to pay only 200Rs. should be deposited in a Post Office of the circle and obtain ACG-67/UCR receipt (Female, ST/SC/PH are exempted from paying fees).

As per the notification the 406 vacancies are divided among different category candidates. All the 406 are not for general candidates.
i am ST catagory I have passed 10+2 with commerce I got 39.4%.I have done 1 year diploma in Financial Accounting System & also done 3 years diploma in Hotel Management Catering Technology & Tourisam Applied for nutrition. am i elligeble for postal assistant

As per the notification the candidates who belongs to ST category should get a minimum of 45%marks in 10+2 standard to apply for the vacancies in West Bengal postal circle
with reference to above recruitment I want to ask you that a Scheduled Caste (SC) candidate complete Graduation in any specialization or any degree then how many % of marks required, kindly inform me.

As per the notification the qualification required to apply for the vaccines in postal circles is 10+2 or 12th. Even though the candidate possess the higher qualification it is not taken into consideration. The general candidates should get 60% marks and above. The OBC should get 55% and above. SC/ST should get 45% and above in 10+2 or 12th standard.
