CDS eligibility Criteria - combined defense services : Union public service commission - Upsc conducts CDS –(combined defense services) examination yearly twice .The names of the examinations are CDS I and CDS II , eligible candidates have to apply through online or offline application mode .upsc CDS (combined defense services) examination eligibility details given below.
Nationality: candidates must be citizens of India.
Age: The age limit for CDS (combined defense Services) as per cds -2011 according upsc cds norms.
(i)IMA: candidates born not earlier than 2nd July ,1988 and not later than 1st July ,1993,unmarried ,male candidates are eligible
(ii)Indian naval academy: candidates neither born nor earlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July, 1993 male, unmarried, candidates are eligible.
(iii)Air force academy: candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1989 and not later than 1st July, 1993 Unmarried, male candidates are eligible.
(iv)Officers training academy for men: Male Candidates neither born nor earlier than 2nd July, 1987 and nor later than 1st July, 1993 married or unmarried, candidates are eligible.
(v)Officers training academy for women: candidates born not earlier than 2nd July ,1987 and not later than 1st July ,1993 remarried ,women are eligible.
Educational qualifications:
(1)IMA - candidate must be a graduate from the recognized university.
(2)Indian navel academy: candidate must be a graduation in Engineering.
(3)Air force academy: candidates in intermediate level physics and mathematics and graduation (or) Bachelor of Engineering completed from the recognized university.
Final year degree students can also apply provided the proof passing above qualification at a later date to be notified by upsc.
Physical standards: The eligible candidates must be physically and medically according to the physical standards for admission to CDS (combined defense services) examination.
