Patch 7.31 for FINAL FANTASY XIV brings a wealth of exciting updates to the game, including new sidequests, enhancements to the PvP system, and the introduction of the Cosmic Exploration initiative.

Phaenna Exploration Tokens: Earned from EX+ stellar missions. These tokens can be exchanged for a special mount, and both tokens and mount can be sold on the market.
Stellar Successes:

Daily Successes: After completing the "Go Forth, Brave Explorers" quest, lunar credits will be converted to Phaenna credits through daily successes.

Standard Successes: Added as a new category for Phaenna. Players can track progress in other stars via the pulldown menu in the Stellar Successes window.

Starward Standings: Now based on contributions from stellar missions, mech ops, and projects on Phaenna. To check standings, speak to Scanningway (X:28.1 Y:12.6) on Phaenna.

Contributions from Sinus Ardorum will not count towards Starward Standings.

Players can enhance their tools by completing stellar missions.

Research Data required for enhancements can be tracked via Cosmic Research on the exotablet.

Enhanced prototypes and tools can be obtained from Researchingway on the current star.

Server Changes:

Instance Division Removal: The division of Shaaloani, Heritage Found, Living Memory, and Lower Jeuno into multiple instances (introduced in Patch 7.3) will be removed to alleviate congestion.

Resolved Issues
- An issue wherein framerate would drop during certain instanced dungeon battles added in Patch 7.3. (PlayStation®5 / PlayStation®4 / Xbox Series X|S versions only)
- An issue with San d'Oria: The Second Walk wherein the radius of certain boss attacks differed from the intended range.
- An issue with Vault Oneiron wherein the damage dealt by the enemy action Acceleration Bomb was lower than intended.
- An issue with the Shifting Altars of Uznair, the Shifting Oubliettes of Lyhe Ghiah, and the Shifting Gymnasion Agonon, wherein certain enemies would erroneously spawn in the center of the battlefield.
- An issue when obtaining Enlightenment silver pieces or Enlightenment gold pieces on the Occult Crescent: South Horn, wherein the corresponding log message would erroneously display twice.
- An issue with Eureka Orthos wherein graphic text appeared in German on floors where demiclones were unavailable. (English only)
- An issue in Crystalline Conflict custom matches wherein, under certain conditions, after a pictomancer was incapacitated and they did not use the PvP action Creature Motif through the end of the match, they would be unable to use this action after selecting the “Rematch” option.
- An issue when executing the gunbreaker PvP action Relentless Rush or the dancer PvP action Honing Dance in Crystalline Conflict, wherein players were unaffected by the knockback effect caused by Turbulence in Cloud Nine or Tatami Twist in the Clockwork Castletown.
- An issue wherein motions of certain PvE and PvP actions did not display correctly.
- An issue when playing as Miqo'te with the hairstyle granted by Modern Aesthetics - Scion Special Issue IV, wherein equipping certain headgear would sometimes cause characters' ears to display incorrectly.
- An issue when playing as a female Viera wherein equipping the headgear Assassin's Hood would sometimes cause facial clipping issues.
- An issue wherein the icon for Phoenix Down registered to a hotbar did not correctly indicate whether the item could be used when the target character was out of range.
- An issue in Group Pose’s portrait mode wherein the orientation of certain enemies was incorrect, and certain weapon effects were misaligned.
- An issue wherein receiving a chat or closing the tutorial window for transportation or escort quests could cause the game client to crash.

- Other minor text issues have also been addressed.
- An issue with the character settings backup feature wherein downloading certain data uploaded before Patch 7.3 would cause configuration settings to be applied incorrectly.
Known Issues
- An issue with cosmic exploration mech ops when changing class after submitting a pilot application, wherein players who switch their primary tool directly via the methods listed below are unable to subsequently change class or participate in the mech op, leading to the forfeit of their submitted application.

- * We are currently investigating the cause of this issue and working on a fix as a matter of priority. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. For the interim, players can avoid the issue via the methods listed below:
- ・Refraining from changing class between submitting a pilot application and beginning the mech op
- ・Changing class by swapping gear sets
- An issue with the quest "Go Forth, Brave Explorers" wherein quest icons do not display on the map in areas outside of Sinus Ardorum.
- An issue with the quest "Keeping the Old Ways Alive" wherein quest icons do not display on the map in areas outside of the phantom village.
- An issue when speaking with Scanningway during cosmic exploration wherein, under certain conditions, dialogue indicating the player has not made any contributions during the current ranking period is erroneously displayed, despite the player having contributed.
- * This is a text-only issue.
- An issue with fishing stellar missions during cosmic exploration, wherein the explanation for certain critical missions not accessible due to cosmic exploration progress erroneously states "Data unavailable for incomplete missions."
- An issue with cosmic exploration wherein completing a project while the cutscene in which players receive a cosmic tool is playing causes the cutscene to display incorrectly, and the environment to appear unchanged for the affected player, despite having completed the project.
- * This issue can be resolved by changing areas or logging out and logging back in.
- An issue with the cosmic exploration mech op directive "Shatter Glass Clusters" wherein the delivery range of certain field scanners is incorrect.
- * Players encountering difficulties as a result of this issue may need to move closer to an affected field scanner to deliver resources.
- An issue when undertaking certain mech ops on Phaenna during cosmic exploration, wherein players can clip through terrain while traveling to the mission site as a pilot.
- An issue in Group Pose’s portrait mode wherein animations and weather effects do not display correctly when completing a cosmic exploration project or while glass rain is active.
- An issue wherein players are unable to mute characters while undertaking a duty.
