Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Patch Notes 1.4

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Patch 1.4 delivers a substantial update featuring a new DLC, an upgraded Photo Mode, visual enhancements, broad quest and combat improvements, and extensive bug fixes.
Features

Animals

  • Loading the game no longer occasionally causes animals to flee.

Balancing

  • Changed the Infantryman polearm perk: It now adds +5 polearm weapon skill when wielding a polearm in combat and reduces enemy defense, making them less likely to perfect block, riposte or execute master strikes.

  • Halberds are now almost twice as durable.

  • Henry has been re-taught how to cook eggs.

  • Increased the time it takes for alcoholic drinks to spoil.

  • Increased the quality of the Trollbane hammer.

  • Leek and Parsnip now have stats and an icon.

  • Slightly increased plate gauntlet selection in Kuttenberg shops with a few also added into the open world.

  • Slightly nerfed stats of the Brunswick set and other Twitch/PROS items.

  • Standardised icons of some food items.

Blacksmithing

  • Improved alignment at smithy anvils.

Codex

  • Fixed missing Smelters codex page.

Combat

  • All polearm combos now require only three moves.

  • Fixed rotating enemy scabbards.

  • Fixed walking animation while charging an attack with a polearm.

Crime

  • Added sounds for indulgence payment.

  • Corrected arrest dialogue.

  • Each spoonful of food stolen from a kettle is now reflected in the final amount.

  • Items stolen with the Thief's Eye perk are not confiscated outside of their location of origin.

  • Looting or killing bandits is no longer listed as a crime.

  • Pursuing guards now investigate in a better direction.

  • The player is no longer accused of committing the same theft twice after passing a skillcheck and keeping the item.

Daily life

  • Adjusted the scribe's table in Troskowitz.

  • Improved NPC navigation around chicken coops.

  • Improved settling in Bylany.

  • Improved settling in Rabstein.

  • Fewer drunken NPCs now wander around Kuttenberg.

  • The player can now open the door of the rented room at the Emperor Charles Tavern in Kuttenberg.

Dialogues

  • Fixed passerby NPCs colliding with player during dialogues.

Dice

  • Fixed error when giving up in a dice game while the opponent was scoring.

  • Fixed probability of values thrown with Saint Antiochus' die.

Environment

  • Fixed player getting stuck in multiple locations in Grunta, Trosky, Suchdol, Maleshov and other locations.

  • Fixed terrain alignment at the smithy anvil in Devil's Den.

  • Fixed water barrier in Kerchak pond.

  • Horse can no longer enter Bozena’s alchemy hut.

Fast travel

  • Added new fast travel point near Sigismund's camp.

Horse riding

  • Fixed horse capsule breaking after multiple collisions.

  • Fixed conflict between autopilot and focus camera, which caused choppy camera movement.

  • Fixed horses sliding when colliding with certain obstacles.

Horse trading

  • Extended the period during which a stolen horse remains in the sales area at a horse handler's.

Mutt

  • Fixed timers related to marking objectives for your dog.

PROS

  • Item stats for the Warhorse purpoint and the Cutpurse's gambeson are no longer switched.

  • Polished and updated the model of Patron's coat.

Photo mode

  • Added a menu with expanded configuration options (effects, camera settings, day/time settings, precision controls, etc.).

  • Photo mode action keys can now be overridden in keybinding settings.

  • Photo mode is no longer blurry when drunk.

  • Visual effects of the Dollmaker poison no longer persist in photo mode.

Random events

  • Adjusted a caravan spawn point near Troskowitz.

  • Bandits now attack the player if standing nearby.

  • Fixed event horses not reacting to damage when their rider is dead.

  • Henry can now surrender in the pillory random event while standing near the pillory NPC.

  • Henry is no longer charged for murdering a fleeing prisoner killed by guards in the pillory event.

  • Prisoners in the pillory now react to being hit by a pebble.

Rented rooms

  • Fixed issue with inaccessible but paid rented room after level switch.

  • Trespass will not be triggered if the player stays longer than they paid for.

Reputation

  • Fixed indulgence box lowering player's reputation.

Shield painting

  • Fixed an issue where a symbol was not unlocked upon earning the An Old Friend achievement.

Shop

  • Fixed inability to add the first highlighted item to the basket immediately after opening a shop

Skills & perks

  • Adjusted buff icon of the Belligerent Brawler perk.

  • Improved UI notification when gaining hidden perks.

  • Slightly lowered the boosted stats of Pebbles and Herring from Good old Pebbles and Red Herring perks.

Takedowns

  • NPCs no longer draw weapons if the player is already performing a knockout or stealth kill animation.

Tutorials

  • Opponents now start practice fights in defense.

UI

  • Implemented UI adaptability (UI elements are now shown only when relevant); can be toggled in options.

  • Controller haptics no longer react to NPCs using mortar and pestle.

  • Fixed craftsmanship level information when wearing items that provide a craftsmanship buff.

  • Improved UI navigation on ultrawide screens.

  • Improved controller feedback while Henry's stamina is low.

  • It is now possible to select multiple items for drying in the smokehouse.

  • New font implemented for traditional Chinese.

  • Added a pop-up window for when the player's pool of saved games is full and using Saviour Schnapps would override the oldest save.

  • Quick access menu action keys can now be overridden in keybinding settings.

  • Removed the New Game button from the menu after death to prevent accidental playline overwriting.

  • Scrolling in the journal no longer moves the map when using controller.

  • After closing the Help screen with the mouse, the player can now choose any dialogue line they wish.

  • Tutorial buttons are now displayed when starting a new game with a mouse and opening the inventory with a controller.

Visuals

  • Implemented HDR display output.

  • Implemented Intel XeSS Super Resolution 2.0.

  • Fixed NPC clothing physics while riding horses.

  • Minor improvements in the detail and visual quality of certain clothing items.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed the interactive hare skin item.

  • Improved drunken guard animations.

  • Improved NPC movement through difficult terrain.

  • Players can now re-equip their gear the first time they open the inventory after it was changed involuntarily (e.g. by quests, baths, etc.).

  • Removed an obsolete item in the Nebakov Mill.
