Pax Dei Leaving Early Access – Full Launch and Founder Details

Pax Dei to leave Early Access

So, it’s official, Pax Dei is about to wrap up its Early Access phase. If anyone’s been wandering this fantasy MMO’s persistent valleys, chasing goats or arguing in global chat about plot locations, those days of “pre-release” badge-wearing are nearly behind you. The servers will be closing on October 6th for a final wipe and some behind-the-scenes prep. Bittersweet, honestly, I’ve met people who genuinely think the beta churn is half the thrill. (There’s always that one friend insisting their half-finished tavern will somehow survive!)

On October 14th, Founders (that’s anyone who shelled out for the “supporter” packs) get to jump in two days early. It’s like an MMO head start race, nickname rush, land-grab, clan formation frenzy. I won’t forget the chaos when folks tried to organize a communal sheep-herding event last time servers opened. Absolute bedlam, and not a shepherd in sight.

For the rest of the world, the official 1.0 launch hits on October 16th. Pax Dei will land on Steam, Epic, and even PC Game Pass. Neat touch: Founders get a bonus game key to gift a friend, so brace yourselves for a fresh wave of new voices asking “What does this recipe do?” or “Where’s the bathroom?” (There isn’t one. It’s medieval times. Just roll with it.)

What’s actually changing? All progress resets with the wipe characters, plots, weird in-jokes scrawled on your plot sign. Don’t panic, though: after the launch, wipes will be a thing of the past. This is the start of “real” Pax Dei, with ongoing content updates, think more dungeons, trade tweaks, new systems, and probably, inevitably, more sheep. Founders keep their perks, extra slots, some cosmetic recipes, and may even get a new digital friend out of the deal. A key to giving away is a clever move to build the early community.

It’s fun seeing MMOs “grow up.” The Early Access days often feel like a weird Renaissance fair, more experimental and personal. But having an end to the wipes and a true persistent world? For players who want to dig in and get cozy, that’s the real reward. If MMOs are virtual homes, Pax Dei is finally letting us hang up our coats and stay awhile.
