Black Ops 7 Open Beta Guide

The Black Ops 7 open beta is live now. Here's everything you need to know to jump in.

Beta Schedule

Early access started October 2nd at 10am PT. It runs until October 5th at the same time.

The open beta begins October 5th at 10am PT. Everyone can play until October 8th at 10am PT.

Early access requires a game preorder or Xbox Game Pass subscription. The open beta is free for everyone.

Black Ops 7 System Requirements

PC Minimum:

Windows 10 64-bit, AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-6600, 8GB RAM, AMD Radeon RX 470 or NVIDIA GTX 970/1060, 60GB SSD space.

PC Recommended:

Windows 10/11 64-bit, AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or Intel Core i7-6700K, 12GB RAM, AMD Radeon RX 6600XT or NVIDIA RTX 3060, 60GB SSD space.

PC players must enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. This is required for the anti-cheat system.

Console players need about 50GB of storage space. The file size varies by platform.

How to Download?

Steam: Search "Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Open Beta" in the store. Download directly.

Battle.net: Find the base Call of Duty game. Install it, then select Black Ops 7 beta from the options menu.

Xbox/PC Game Pass: Search "Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Open Beta" in the Microsoft Store. Download and install.

PlayStation: Go to PlayStation Store, search for the beta, and download.

If you preordered digitally, you're automatically registered. No beta code needed.

What's Included

Maps: Six maps are available. Cortex, Exposure, The Forge, Imprint, Blackheart, and Toshin.

Game Modes: Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Search and Destroy, plus the new Overload mode.

Zombies: Survival mode on Vandorn Farm map. This goes live October 3rd and runs until October 7th.

Progression: Level up to 30 during the beta. Unlock weapons, perks, and equipment as you play.

Rewards: Beta progress unlocks cosmetic items for the full game. These include operator skins, weapon blueprints, and calling cards.

Black Ops 7 New Features

Omnimovement lets you move in all directions while prone or sliding. Wall jumps add vertical mobility options.

The Overload mode tasks teams with carrying a device into enemy territory. It plays like classic objective modes but with a mobile target.

Beta weapons include assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, sniper rifles, shotguns, and pistols. Each has customization options.

Training Course teaches movement mechanics. New players should start here before jumping into matches.

Getting Started

Download the beta client now if you have early access. The open beta starts October 5th for everyone else.

Create custom loadouts at level 4. Daily challenges provide extra XP for faster progression.

Zombies mode requires separate timing. It starts October 3rd for early access players.

Your beta progress transfers some rewards to the full game launching November 14th. Level up to unlock these exclusive items.

The beta runs across all platforms with crossplay enabled. Console players can disable this in settings if preferred.
