Cole Palmer Injury Update
Enzo Maresca has expressed hope that Cole Palmer will return from his groin injury in time for Chelsea's Champions League clash with Barcelona at the end of November. One of the fans posting on X via @kingkachifa, shared that Cole Palmer is expected to be back when Chelsea takes on Barcelona at Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old forward, who last played on September 20 against Manchester United, has now missed nine matches due to the persistent groin problem that first surfaced in August and worsened the following month. EuroFoot, posting on X via @eurofootcom, reported that Cole Palmer (23) will miss 6 more weeks due to a groin injury, as confirmed by Enzo Maresca.
Initially sidelined for an estimated six weeks, Palmer's recovery has progressed cautiously, with Maresca confirming he is not yet participating in team training sessions and will sit out Wednesday's game against Qarabag.
"We hope so, but with Cole, we try to plan, we try to schedule at the beginning. Then we need to review that," Maresca said ahead of the international break. "So in this moment, we go day by day with Cole. He's not taking any session with the team." The Chelsea boss emphasized the team's reliance on their star attacker, adding, "To be honest, I would like to have Cole here tomorrow. I would like to have Cole early. I said many times that we are a better team with Cole. Unfortunately for us, he's out, he's injured, but for sure we want him back very soon."
Palmer's absence has been a blow during a demanding schedule, but there are positive signs in his individual rehab work. Should he make it back for the Barcelona trip, it could align with a quick turnaround before the Premier League derby against Arsenal on November 30. Fans remain optimistic, though some injury trackers suggest a potential early December return if setbacks occur. For now, the focus is on a steady build-up to ensure he's fully fit, avoiding any risk of re-injury in this crucial phase of the season.
