To start the season, the Golden State Warriors have been without one of their key signings from the Summer. Melton spent six games with the Warriors last season before suffering his ACL injury. Following his injury, Melton was traded from Golden State to Brooklyn in a deal that included Dennis Schroder. During his six-game stint with the Warriors, Melton averaged 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 20 minutes per contest.
After missing the start of the regular season, Melton is set to be reintegrated into team practice over the next two weeks. Despite starting the season 4-1, the Golden State Warriors have been without one of their key signings from the offseason to open the 2025-26 campaign.
