Deebo Samuel Injury Update
Deebo Samuel did not practice on Wednesday because he’s dealing with a heel injury. This was the first time he appeared on the Commanders’ injury report this season.
Jayden Daniels is back but WR Deebo Samuel has been added to the injury report.
His situation creates questions about whether he’ll play in Week 5 against the Chargers. Samuel leads the Commanders in receptions and yards right now, and the team already has other receivers banged up. Terry McLaurin missed last week with a quad problem, while Noah Brown is out with groin and knee issues.
Samuel switched teams this offseason. He’s been moving well in games so far. Last week, he grabbed six catches for seventy-two yards and a touchdown. No obvious injury during the game. But the team listed him with a heel issue on Wednesday’s report, and he sat out practice.
Coaches haven’t said how serious his injury is yet. Sometimes players get Wednesdays off just to rest, so there’s a chance that this is not a major problem. Samuel’s known for playing through pain. Fantasy football watchers and fans are waiting for Thursday’s practice and the next injury report, which should bring more details.
If Samuel can't play, it would leave the Commanders thin at receiver. They already missed McLaurin and Brown, so Samuel’s health matters for the offense, especially with Jayden Daniels expected back at quarterback this week.
Right now, Samuel’s availability for Sunday’s game is still uncertain. News updates expected before the weekend will show if he’s ready or still on the sidelines.
