Dies Irae OTT Release Date
Dies Irae is a Malayalam horror thriller directed by Rahul Sadasivan with Pranav Mohanlal in the lead. The film released in theatres on 31 October 2025 with paid premieres on 30 October.
Jio Hotstar has acquired the post theatrical streaming rights for Dies Irae. Reports from Malayalam OTT round ups say the film is expected to start streaming on Jio Hotstar before the end of November 2025.
So as of now there is no official date from the producers or the platform. Viewers can expect the OTT release in late November or early December if the usual four to five week window after theatrical run is followed.
Dies Irae Cast
Pranav Mohanlal plays Rohan who is the central character of the film. Sushmitha Bhat plays Kani whose death triggers the main events in the story.
Shine Tom Chacko appears as Manu along with Gibin Gopinath as Madhusudhanan Potti. The supporting cast includes Jaya Kurup as Elsamma and Saiju Kurup as George.
Other key names are Arun Ajikumar as Kiran Athulya Chandra as Tessa and Saheer Mohammed as the priest with several more in smaller roles. The film is written and directed by Rahul Sadasivan with music by Rajesh Murugesan and cinematography by Anand C Chandran.
Dies Irae Storyline
Dies Irae follows Rohan a rich young man who enjoys an easy life in a family of builders. His life changes after he visits the house of his old classmate Kani and learns that she has died by suicide.
Soon after that visit Rohan starts to experience strange and violent supernatural events. A dark presence begins to haunt him and he realizes it is linked to Kani and her past.
To save himself he is forced to dig into hidden truths about Kani her family and the house. The film builds tension through psychological horror and investigates guilt abuse of power and the price of ignoring buried secrets.
