ESO Server Maintenance: ESO Server Status
The Elder Scrolls Online servers are taking a nap right now both North American and European megaservers are offline for scheduled maintenance. According to Bethesda Support, they went down around 4:00 AM EST (that’s 9:00 UTC) and are expected to be back up by 12:00 PM EST / 17:00 UTC. So yeah, a good eight-hour window where you might actually have to, I dunno, touch grass or something.
It’s not just the servers either. The ESO store and account system are also offline for maintenance. So even if you thought you’d sneak in and buy that fancy mount or upgrade your subscription, no luck. Everything’s temporarily locked down while the team hammers out backend updates.
Now, this kind of downtime isn’t new to the ESO community. The devs usually do these regular maintenance runs to keep things smooth, crush bugs, and prep for new content drops. Sure, it’s annoying when it hits right as you’ve planned your dungeon runs with friends, but hey, better downtime now than lag spikes in battle later, right?
If you’re checking your connection every few minutes wondering if it’s just you, relax it’s everyone. Grab a coffee, update your add-ons, maybe watch a lore video or two. Servers should bounce back around midday if all goes to plan. Once they’re live again, you’ll see an update confirming everything’s good to go. Until then, patience, adventurer the gates of Tamriel will reopen soon enough.
