This update brings new characters and special Halloween costumes. You’ll see skins like Doja Cat, Daphne, Velma, Fred, Shaggy, Scooby-Doo, Ghostface, Huggy Wuggy, and Jason Voorhees in the shop. The Halloween event is called Fortnitemares. It rolls out with the v37.50 patch today.
This maintenance will affect the following servers
- LEGO Fortnite – Matchmaking
- Fortnite Festival – Matchmaking
- Rocket League Racing – Matchmaking
- Game Services, Login, Parties, Friends & Messaging, Voice Chat, Matchmaking, Stats and Leaderboards, Item Shop, and Fortnite Crew.
When is Fortnite Next Update?
The next major Fortnite update, v37.50 (Fortnitemares), is launching today October 9, 2025. This update brings new characters, collaborations, and spooky content for Halloween.
Fortnite has confirmed the character Doja Cat for the upcoming Fortnitemares update
When will Fortnite Maintenance for v37.50 Update End Today?
Today's Fortnite maintenance for the v37.50 update is scheduled to end around 09:30 UTC, meaning servers are expected to be back online approximately 90 minutes after maintenance starts. Players can expect normal gameplay to resume shortly after this time.
Sometimes it can take a few extra minutes to get everything ready. The best way to check for updates is the official Fortnite Status account or Epic’s status site. They’ll confirm when it’s back up.
Until maintenance finishes, nobody can play the game. Players will get errors if they try to log in or join matches. All affected services include Battle Royale, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, and LEGO Fortnite. The item shop, stats, and Fortnite Crew are also unavailable right now.
That’s all that’s happening with Fortnite downtime and today’s update. Once servers come back, gameplay will go back to normal with new content unlocked for everyone.
