Not my proudest moment, but when you've been saving for months for a specific character, you do what you gotta do.
The maintenance usually starts simultaneously across all servers, which means players worldwide will be experiencing the collective pain of being unable to play at the same time. It's kind of beautiful in a weird way, millions of us just... waiting. Together.
How Long Will the Maintenance Take Place?
The maintenance is expected to last approximately 5 hours, following HoYoverse's typical pattern. So if all goes according to plan (and let's be honest, it usually does with HoYo), we should be back to Trailblazing by 11:00 AM (UTC+8) on August 13, 2025.
Five hours might seem like forever when you're itching to pull for new characters, but compared to some other gacha games I've played? This is pretty reasonable. I still have nightmares about that one game that had a 12-hour maintenance for a minor patch.
Honkai Star Rail 3.5 Server Status
During the maintenance period, all Honkai Star Rail servers will be completely offline no sneaky ways to get in early; trust me, I've tried. The servers shut down simultaneously worldwide, creating what I like to call the "Great Trailblazer Exodus." You'll get booted from the game if you're playing when maintenance starts, so make sure to wrap up whatever you're doing beforehand.

The synergy potential with Black Swan and the upcoming DoT support characters has theory-crafters going wild on the forums.
The update will run until approximately September 23, 2025, giving us the standard six-week cycle that we've all gotten used to. That means you've got roughly 42 days to save up for whoever's coming in 3.6 (and based on the leaks I've been desperately trying to avoid, it's gonna be another wallet-destroyer).
