Is ChatGPT Atlas Available for Windows?
ChatGPT Atlas is not available for Windows yet. It works only on macOS right now. OpenAI launched it worldwide for Mac users on October 21, 2025. Support for Windows, iOS, and Android is planned, but not released.

You can import bookmarks and passwords from Chrome during setup. If privacy matters to you, incognito mode in Atlas signs you out instantly. No data or memory is saved.
How to Download Chatgpt Atlas Web Browser?
If you own a Mac with an M-series chip (M1, M2, M3, or M4), you can install ChatGPT Atlas now.
- Go to chatgpt.com/atlas and click download.
- When the file is ready, open it.
- Drag the Atlas app into your Applications folder.
- Eject the installer after setup.
- Then launch Atlas, sign in to your ChatGPT account, and start browsing.
- You can set Atlas as your default browser.
- Go to Settings, open the General tab, and choose Set Default.
- macOS will confirm your choice under System Settings.
After doing this, OpenAI gives users a temporary bonus — higher rate limits for seven days.
What’s next for Windows?
OpenAI says a Windows version is coming soon. It’s being tested with selected developers. When it launches, it will likely mirror the same features as the macOS version.
You will be able to download it from the ChatGPT website, not from any unofficial source. Avoid third-party sites offering “early Windows builds” — they may be unsafe.
Until then, you can keep using ChatGPT through chat.openai.com on any Windows browser. It doesn’t have all Atlas features yet, but it’s fully functional for chat and web browsing.
