Jordin Canada Injury Update: Dream Guard Day-to-Day After Right Leg Scare

Jordin Canada Injury Update

Jordin Canada went down with what looked like a pretty scary right leg injury last night, and yeah—she had to be carried off the court.

On Twitter, @WiltonReports said that Jordin Canada hurt her leg in the third quarter of the game against the Phoenix Mercury and won’t be coming back to play for the rest of that game.

It happened in the Dream’s 74-66 win over the Mercury, right in the middle of what was shaping up to be a solid performance from her. No collision, no obvious foul—just one of those sudden, awkward landings that make you wince before you even see the replay. You could feel the energy shift in the arena the second she stayed down. And if you’ve watched enough ball, you know that’s never a good sign.

Right now, the team’s being coy—calling her “day-to-day” while they wait on more tests—but let’s be honest, seeing her unable to put weight on that leg doesn’t exactly scream quick return. And for Atlanta, that’s a big ol’ problem. Canada’s been the engine behind their offense this season—pushing pace, finding shooters, locking up opponents on defense. Take her out of the mix, and suddenly Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray are gonna have to juggle more ball-handling duties while keeping their own scoring rhythm alive.

It’s the kind of twist you don’t want mid-season, especially for a team trying to keep playoff momentum simmering. And for fans? It’s that uneasy mix of hoping for good news while replaying that one moment in your head. You know—when everything was fine one second and completely sideways the next.
