Kaantha OTT Release Date
Netflix has confirmed that Kaantha will premiere on 12 December 2025. Streaming is expected to start from midnight on that date in India.
The movie reached cinemas on 14 November 2025. After a mixed run in theatres, the makers moved to an early digital release.

Kaantha Movie Storyline
Kaantha takes place inside a movie studio in 1950s Madras. Ayya is a respected director who once turned Mahadevan from an ordinary man into a big star.
Years later Ayya decides to restart an old dream project first called Shaantha. Mahadevan’s ego grows during the shoot and he renames the film Kaantha and takes control of direction.
The new heroine Raja Kumari trusts Ayya which deepens the clash between mentor and star. Personal issues and romance on set add more pressure on the team.
Tensions peak during the climax shoot when a murder happens on the set. The film follows how jealousy pride and ambition lead to that crime and how it affects everyone involved.
