The official website and Twitter account for Kaiju No. 8 confirmed that Season 2 will premiere on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11 PM JST on TV Tokyo and affiliated networks. The anime will stream globally in real time on Crunchyroll and X, making it accessible to international fans immediately upon release.
Ahead of the premiere, fans can also tune in to a special program titled “Hoshina’s Holiday,” airing on July 5, 2025, which will preview Season 2’s characters and themes.

Kaiju No. 8
Kaiju No. 8 is a Japanese anime series based on the manga by Naoya Matsumoto. Produced by Production I.G. with kaiju designs supervised by Studio Khara, the anime first aired from April 13 to June 29, 2024. Directed by Shigeyuki Miya and Tomomi Kamiya, with music by Yuta Bandoh, the series follows Kafka Hibino, who gains the power to transform into a kaiju.
The show features the opening theme “Abyss” by Yungblud and ending theme “Nobody” by OneRepublic. A second season is set to premiere on July 19, 2025, streaming globally via Crunchyroll and Ani-One Asia.
