Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 6
Kantara Chapter 1 had a strong sixth day at the box office. The film earned about Rs 33.5 crore in India on Tuesday. This brought the total Indian net collection to Rs 290.25 crore by day 6.
Even with a usual drop after the weekend, the movie kept steady crowds. Numbers for Tuesday were actually a little higher than Monday. Word-of-mouth has helped keep ticket sales high. Hindi audiences, in particular, showed strong support.
Reports said the worldwide gross crossed Rs 400 crore on day 6. That makes Kantara Chapter 1 the first Kannada film this year to break the 400 crore barrier worldwide. It is now the second highest grossing Kannada film ever, behind KGF Chapter 2.
Most people went for night shows. Cities like Bengaluru and Mysuru had high occupancy rates, with some areas close to full. Hindi shows in cities like Jaipur and Mumbai also had high attendance.
Breakdown by language for day 6 included about 13 crore from Kannada, 11 crore from Hindi, 4.75 crore from Telugu, and smaller figures for Tamil and Malayalam versions.
Kantara Chapter 1 opened big on Dussehra weekend. A good start, strong reviews, and interest across regions have kept the momentum going. The film is expected to cross Rs 300 crore in India soon.
It has already passed the lifetime collection of Pushpa: The Rise. Still, it’s far from matching KGF Chapter 2’s record for a Kannada film.
Kantara Chapter 1 works as a prequel to the original Kantara. Rishab Shetty returns as director and lead. The story goes back centuries, showing the roots of faith and forest traditions in Karnataka.
These numbers show Kantara Chapter 1 is a clear box office success. Reviews and word-of-mouth have helped stay strong even after the festival weekend.
