Marvin Harrison Jr. Injury Update
Marvin Harrison Jr. left the field with a head injury during Arizona’s loss to the Colts Sunday. He took a hard hit in the second quarter. His head hit the turf after making a catch. He stayed down for a few seconds, then walked to the blue medical tent. Trainers led him to the locker room before halftime for more testing.
The Cardinals ruled him out for the rest of the game. They confirmed it as a concussion. This is his second concussion in the NFL. The first one was last season, also around Week 6.
Harrison Jr. will now go through league concussion protocol. That means he has to be checked and cleared before he can play again. He might miss more games if symptoms last or if tests are not clear.
The team has not said when he will return. Some reports expect at least one missed game. The Cardinals have a bye in Week 8. So there’s a chance he returns Week 7, or they might keep him out through the bye to play it safe.
Before getting hurt, he had two catches for 32 yards. He has been Arizona’s top wide receiver this season, improving after a slow start. Losing him shifts more targets to guys like Trey McBride and Michael Wilson.
For now, Harrison’s status depends on how quickly he clears the NFL concussion process. There is no official word yet about his next game. Updates will come from team doctors and league officials as he recovers.
