Parker Washington Injury Update
Parker Washington suffered the injury in the second quarter while facing Tennessee. Trainers came on and helped him off the field, then he went into the medical tent for evaluation. After that check, the team announced that he had a hip injury and was questionable to return.
As the game went on, the Jaguars changed his status and ruled him out for the rest of the contest. The official game report later confirmed that he sustained a hip injury and did not return. He finished the game with one catch on three targets for 26 yards.
For the season so far, Washington has been an important part of the offense. He has made more than thirty receptions, gone over four hundred receiving yards, and scored three touchdowns. Many of his catches have moved the chains on third down which shows the trust the quarterback has in him.
He also plays a key role on special teams as a punt returner. When he left the game, the Jaguars had to lean on other receivers and return options. Brian Thomas Jakobi Meyers Tim Patrick and Austin Trammell were the main wide receivers available after his exit.
Right now there is no detailed public update on the exact structure of the hip injury or on a clear timetable. Reports only state that he could not return against the Titans and that this is not great news for the Jaguars playoff push. His next chance to play is listed as the upcoming game against the Colts, but that will depend on how he responds to treatment and how he practices during the week.
Until the team releases its next injury report, Washington is best viewed as day to day from a fantasy and fan point of view. If he logs limited or full practices before the Colts game, that will be a strong sign that he is trending toward playing. If he stays out of practice or only works off to the side, then missing at least one game would be more likely.
