Pharma OTT Release Date
“Pharma” is finally out on OTT, and Nivin Pauly’s debut web series is streaming now on JioHotstar from 19 December 2025, in multiple Indian languages, not just Malayalam. It’s a medical thriller about a pharma rep who realises the “wonder drug” he sold is hurting people and then goes up against a powerful company.

“Pharma” started streaming on 19 December 2025. The series had its first premiere earlier at the 55th International Film Festival of India before coming to OTT for the wider audience. So if someone’s been waiting since those early festival reactions, the wait’s done now. No “coming soon” tag anymore, it’s live.
Where to Watch Online?
“Pharma” is streaming exclusively on JioHotstar. You can watch it in Malayalam, along with Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi audio options. People using OTTplay Premium can also access the show through that subscription, but the core platform is JioHotstar. JioHotstar Malayalam (@JioHotstarMal) announced on X that the gripping medical thriller Pharma will be streaming from December 19 on JioHotstar.
Pharma Plot
At the center of the story is KP Vinod, a middle-class guy who joins the pharmaceutical industry as a medical representative in his 20s. He struggles at first, standing in queues outside clinics, trying to push a new drug in a brutally competitive market.
Things change when he starts selling a supposedly “wonder drug” called KydoXin, which suddenly turns him into a star performer and helps him climb the corporate ladder. Years later, he discovers the dark side: KydoXin has been causing serious harm to patients, and he’s been part of that chain without knowing it.
The rest of the series turns into a whistleblower-style thriller, with Vinod trying to take on a ruthless pharma giant (RLX) with the help of an NGO, led by Dr Rajiv Rao. It mixes personal guilt, corporate corruption, media pressure, and the question of what one ordinary salesman can do when he realises he’s been selling something deadly.
