PM Kisan 20th Installment News
Farmers across India, here’s the latest – the much-awaited 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana got released today, 2 August 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the entire thing from Varanasi, and this time, Rs 20,500 crore got directly transferred to over 9.7 crore farmers’ bank accounts. This is a huge relief, especially now when so many are managing Kharif crop expenses.
The program began in 2019, and since then, more than Rs 3.69 lakh crore has reached farmers in 20 batches. Each eligible farmer family gets Rs 6,000 each year, split into three installments.
On Twitter, @RailMinIndia: On August 2, 2025, PM Modi will release the 20th installment of the PM-Kisan scheme from Varanasi. This payout will benefit 9.7 crore farmers across India.
PM Kisan Beneficiary List 2025 Release Date
If you are waiting for your name in the beneficiary list, know this – the updated PM Kisan Beneficiary List for 2025 was released today (2 August 2025), along with the installment. The government aims to keep the records fresh so that as many genuine cultivators as possible get benefits on time.
The process is strict – only those with eKYC updated and all documents verified make it into the final list. The name gets published state, district, block, and village-wise on the official portal. Unfortunately, sometimes names go missing because of mistakes in land records or wrong bank account details, so do keep checking.
Is Your Name on the PM Kisan Beneficiary List 2025?
You can quickly confirm if your name is in the 2025 beneficiary list. Some people get frustrated when payment gets delayed, but often the problem is either pending eKYC or a document error, not that your name has been permanently removed.
You need to check regularly, because the list is updated often. If eKYC or land data is incomplete, your name might not appear for now. Also, those found giving wrong information or the families where government employees, pensioners, or income tax payers are present are removed legally. Farmers whose accounts haven't been credited should check whether their bank details or Aadhaar have any mistakes.
What is PM Kisan?
The PM Kisan scheme launched in 2019 to help the country’s small and marginal farmers with a steady income support—₹6,000 a year, divided over three ₹2,000 installments. Think of it as a basic income lifeline meant to keep the most vulnerable farmers afloat. The money goes directly into bank accounts, no middlemen, which in itself is a big deal given India's history with leakages in welfare funds.
Eligibility rules are strict. You need to have cultivable land (not tenants), e-KYC done, and not be an income tax payer, government or PSU employee, or pensioner.
