Puka Nacua Injury Update: Rams Star WR Suffers Foot Scare

Puka Nacua Injury Update

Puka Nacua suffered a left foot injury in the Rams’ Week 6 game against the Ravens, and man, it didn’t look good. It happened early in the second quarter at M&T Bank Stadium, one of those plays that makes every fan hold their breath. Matthew Stafford lofted a high pass into the end zone on third down, and Nacua did what he always does: went full send. Tom Christ, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT (@FantasyInjuryT) reported on X that Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is now being listed with a foot injury, after initially being reported as an ankle issue.

Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT (@jmthrivept) shared on X that Puka Nacua’s “foot” injury appeared to occur when his toes slammed into the turf, offering a clearer angle of the incident.

He went up against Marlon Humphrey, tipped the ball just enough to prevent a pick, and then came crashing down awkwardly on that left leg. You could see the pain right away that instant grimace, the slow clutch toward the foot, trainers sprinting across the field.

He tried to shake it off, even stood for a second, but after a couple of steps, he just couldn’t. The trainers helped him off, and the crowd kind of gasped in unison. The Rams later called it a foot injury and said he was “doubtful to return,” which feels like the nicest possible way of saying “we’re all nervous about this one.”

Now here’s the tough part: Nacua’s been the heartbeat of this Rams offense. Going into the game, he led the entire league in catches and yards (52 for 588, if you’re counting), and he was on pace for something wild close to 2,000 yards this season. That kind of chemistry with Stafford doesn’t grow on trees, and you could instantly see the difference when he left.

With Nacua sidelined, Davante Adams had to step up as Stafford’s go-to target, but let’s be real, losing Puka changes everything. The dude’s been a revelation since his rookie year, and this latest setback couldn’t come at a worse time for the Rams, who are still trying to build some momentum in a stacked NFC West. No word yet on the severity or if he’ll need further tests, but you could feel the concern in that locker room. Hopefully, it’s something minor because Sundays just hit different when Puka’s making plays out there.
