Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max Launch Date
The Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max are finally stepping into the spotlight this October, and fans couldn’t be more excited. Xiaomi’s President Lu Weibing confirmed the month-long rumor mill, yes, it’s official, the K90 series will launch in China before the end of October 2025. I remember the buzz around last year’s K80 series, and it already feels nostalgic to think about how fast Xiaomi pushes out upgrades. They’re skipping the “Pro” this time, just K90 and K90 Pro Max. Clean, simple, confident.
What makes this launch special is that the Redmi K90 Pro Max is the first “Pro Max” in the K lineup. It’s not every day that Redmi decides to stretch its lineup to this level. The Pro Max is said to pack the mighty Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the same chip expected in next-gen gaming phones, and that alone sets expectations sky-high. Both phones are expected to come with 100W fast charging, Android 16, and up to 16GB RAM, not the sort of power setup you’d expect from something that still falls under the “budget flagship” tag.
Now, I know a lot of people have that one friend who says, “I’ll wait for the global release.” And sure, this one’s starting in China, but if Redmi’s pattern continues, we might see these rebranded under the POCO F series worldwide. That’s a tempting thought; the K90 Pro Max could very well become the next Poco F6 Ultra or something similar in India.
Pricing is expected to hover around CNY 4,000 (roughly ₹48,000), which sounds reasonable when you consider everything Xiaomi is packing in. The K90 series seems set to redefine the upper mid-range space again. Personally, I can already picture the wave of YouTube reviews debating whether this is a “flagship killer” or just another flagship in disguise. Either way, late October is going to be an exciting time for Redmi fans, and my guess? Pre-orders are going to vanish faster than free coffee on a Monday morning.
