Snapchat Memories Storage Limit
Snapchat has introduced paid storage plans for its Memories feature. The popular social media platform has limited free usage to 5GB. If a user's collection exceeds this limit, they must sign up for one of its new Memories storage plans.
The memory storage plans are as follows:
- Storage pack: $1.99 a month - 100GB storage
- $3.99 monthly subscription - store upto 250GB data
- Snapchat Platinum - 5TB - $15.99 monthly plan
The company says that most users have less than 5GB of data, so this new change might not affect them. Users whose data exceeds 5GB will need to subscribe to one of the paid storage plans.
Users must note that recent snaps that exceed the storage limit will be deleted, but the oldest snaps will remain safe if you are above the limit and do not subscribe to a plan.
When will Snapchat Start Charging for Memories?
Snapchat will soon start charging for Memories. The exact date has not been announced. After a decade of free access, this storage plan might be disappointing news for users who have more than 5GB of storage.
