Street Fighter 6 Maintenance
Alright fighters, heads up — Street Fighter 6 servers are going down for maintenance started tonight at 8 PM PDT (that's August 31st) August 5, 12:00 a.m. PDT, running until midnight, so basically a four-hour window where we're all locked out of the game. If you're in other time zones, that's September 1st at 4 AM BST or 3 AM to 7 AM UTC, and for our Japanese players, it's Monday noon to 12:00 p.m. to 4 PM JST. Yeah, I know, terrible timing if you were planning to grind out some ranked matches tonight or finish up those weekly challenges — learned that the hard way last maintenance when I forgot and lost my win streak progress, still salty about that one.
Street Fighter shared a notice on Twitter informing players that #StreetFighter6 will undergo server maintenance, scheduled to last about four hours.
The whole online infrastructure gets knocked offline during this, so you can't even sneak into training mode with frame data or check the shop for those costume colors you've been eyeing; it's basically back to the PS2 days where your console becomes a very expensive paperweight for a few hours.
Honestly though, four hours isn't the worst we've seen — remember that eight-hour nightmare maintenance from launch week? At least Capcom's been pretty consistent lately with keeping these on schedule, rarely extending beyond their estimated windows.
The server status page should go live once everything's back up, though fair warning, everyone and their mother will be trying to log back in simultaneously, so expect some connection hiccups for the first 15-20 minutes after maintenance ends. My advice? Set an alarm for 12:30 AM PDT if you're really itching to get back in, gives the servers time to stabilize and you won't be stuck staring at connection error messages while everyone else floods back online. Time to catch up on that backlog or maybe, just maybe, touch some grass for once.
