About Thamma
Thamma tells the story of Alok Goyal (Ayushmann Khurrana), a simple journalist whose life changes completely when he meets Tadaka (Rashmika Mandanna), a mysterious woman hiding a dark secret. Tadaka belongs to an ancient clan of supernatural beings called the Betaals—once protectors of humanity, now cursed and bloodthirsty under their leader Yakshasan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui).
As Alok gets pulled into this hidden world, he finds himself transforming into something not entirely human. What starts as curiosity soon becomes a struggle for survival and love. Together, Alok and Tadaka must face powerful enemies and their own inner battles to stop Yakshasan before he unleashes chaos on both humans and Betaals.
Blending romance, mythology, horror, and humor, Thamma offers a fresh take on the supernatural genre. It’s a story about love that defies fate, courage in the face of darkness, and finding humanity even when you’ve become something else.
