Vivo V60 Lite
No official launch yet, but it looks like Vivo has more up its sleeve for the V60 lineup. After introducing the V60 earlier this month with much fanfare (and the usual hype around its ZEISS camera partnership), many were surprised not to see a “Lite” model announced.
But all signs point to the V60 Lite still being in the works—and if you’ve followed Vivo’s previous releases, you know the Lite always finds a way to sneak into the roster.
Geekbench and Certification Spottings
So what’s tipped the rumor mill into overdrive? The Vivo V60 Lite has popped up on Geekbench under the model number V2530.
Here’s where it gets interesting: the prototype benchmarked featured a Snapdragon 685 chip, 8GB of RAM, and it was running Android 15—slightly surprising, considering Android 16’s already rolled out in some markets.
There’s chatter about other RAM/storage options coming too, so buyers looking for variety might get lucky this round.
Just to keep things fun, Vivo’s also registering this phone all over the globe—with certifications in Indonesia, China, and Europe—so a worldwide launch seems more likely than not. For once, the “Lite” label isn’t just an afterthought for a couple of markets.
4G and 5G: Two Versions in the Pipeline
If you’re the type to sift through every leak, you might’ve noticed both 4G and 5G variants swirling in the rumor mill. The 4G V60 Lite (V2530) gets the Snapdragon chip, while the 5G sibling (V2529) packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 with the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU—good news for folks who want a little more future-proofing, or just want to maximize network speed.
Both should land with 8GB of RAM, Android 15, and should be available across Asia and Europe, based on certifications making the rounds.
Benchmark nuts will spot this too:
-
V60 Lite 4G (Snapdragon 685): Geekbench single-core score of 467, multi-core 1536
-
V60 Lite 5G (Dimensity 7300): Single-core 939, multi-core 2527
If you like crunchy numbers, you’re covered.
Charging, Features, and Usability
Here’s a pleasant surprise—leaks suggest the V60 Lite will support 90W fast charging. That’s a beefy spec in a world where “Lite” usually means “watered down.”
NFC is also rumored, and if it’s true, it means easy contactless payment for users who actually rely on mobile wallets (here’s looking at the transit crowd).
But oddly enough, the Snapdragon 685 choice means the 4G version skips 5G entirely—an unusual move, but one that might keep the price in check for people or regions that still don’t care about 5G.
If you’re comparing, the 5G version might be worth the (presumed) extra spend for anyone planning to keep their phone for a few years—but don’t count out the 4G V60 Lite as the go-to for bargain hunters.
