Who Is Mel Tracina?
Mel Tracina is the new host of Big Brother Australia 2025. Melbourne-based, she’s known for sharp-witted coverage as Culture Correspondent on Channel 10’s The Cheap Seats, as well as her national Nova radio show (9AM–2PM weekdays). Prior, Tracina worked in regional breakfast radio and community stations. She replaces Sonia Kruger, who hosted from 2020 to 2024 across Channel 9 and 7, now moving on to other Channel 7 entertainment projects.

Mel, 35, was confirmed as host in September 2024 and is the first Big Brother host to launch from Dreamworld on the Gold Coast since 2014. In her own words: “I love reality TV, and I have no shame in admitting it! I hope to bring that passion and enjoyment of watching TV to my role... It feels like Big Brother’s coming home.”
