Who is Kieran from Love is Blind UK Season 2? Meet Kieran Holmes-Darby, Esports Entrepreneur and Contestant
Kieran Holmes-Darby jumped from esports boardrooms right onto my Netflix homepage, honestly. The guy’s known in the competitive gaming world—former CEO of Excel Esports, then general manager at Los Ratones, basically one of those “actually accomplished something by 30” types. And now, he’s diving face-first into the chaos of Love Is Blind UK Season 2. You can’t make it up.
What’s maybe weirdly refreshing is that Kieran doesn’t come across as the “influencer” type going on reality TV just to sell protein powder or something.
His Instagram post the other day sparked a lot of reactions: “Love Is Blind: UK Season 2 baby! When the dating apps ain't working, going on a televised experiment seems like a reasonable response #loveisblind #netflix”.

@JoelHDarby proudly announces that his brother @KieranHDarby will appear in Season 2 of Love Is Blind UK.
Not many reality show contestants are also Mensa members and Forbes 30 Under 30 folks, but, well, here we are. It’s kind of wild—one day he’s breaking down League of Legends strats, the next he’s sharing pods with strangers and (maybe) soulmates.
His backstory: he founded Excel Esports with his brother Joel in a pub. Excel made it to Europe’s pro League of Legends circuit, which, if you follow the scene, is no small feat. After a notorious falling out and legal fight with Excel (now GIANTX), he packed up and ran esports strategies for brands, took on digital sports marketing gigs, and finally landed at Los Ratones, who are basically smashing it at the EMEA Masters right now. So, there’s substance here, but he’s also been pretty open about wanting something different after a long-term relationship ended.
He comes off as more curious than calculating, even a bit self-deprecating. That’s unusual for reality TV, but it’s probably exactly why he’ll stand out when the season drops August 13.
