Who is Philip Rivers?
Philip Rivers was born on December 8, 1981, in Decatur, Alabama. He played college football at NC State and set major passing records in the ACC, which made him a top NFL prospect.
He was drafted fourth overall in the 2004 NFL Draft then traded to the San Diego Chargers where he became their long time starting quarterback. He started for the Chargers from 2006 through 2019 and made eight Pro Bowls while leading them to multiple playoff runs.
In 2020 Rivers joined the Indianapolis Colts and led them to an 11–5 record with more than four thousand passing yards before retiring after that season. After retirement he coached high school football at St Michael Catholic in Alabama and built a strong record there.

Philip Rivers married his middle school sweetheart Tiffany in 2001 and they have a very large Catholic family. They share ten children seven daughters and three sons and became grandparents in 2024 when their oldest daughter Halle had a baby.
Faith is central to their home since both Philip and Tiffany are devout Catholics and raise their children with those values. They attend Mass regularly and Rivers often says that faith, family, then football is the order in his life.
