Who Went Home on MKR Last Night?
Last night, Jacinta and Mel were eliminated from My Kitchen Rules 2025 after their Instant Restaurant racked up a low score. The cousins showed genuine spirit, but let’s be honest, MKR can be pretty unforgiving when it comes to flavor flops. Their total score of 50 just couldn’t compete with Lol and Lil’s 64, sending Mel and Jacinta straight to the bottom.
Can’t say their Bang Bang Cauliflower didn’t make mouths happy — even Manu and Colin sang its praises! But it’s like the appetizer was doing heavy lifting, because the braised beef got roasted for being dry, and dessert… well, imagine a spoon standing up in mousse like it’s planted for the winter. Colin called it “brick-like” and gave it a three. So yeah, not exactly the dream send-off for two home cooks who genuinely gave it their best shot.

My Kitchen Rules 2025 Last Night Recap
Mel and Jacinta’s night started with high hopes, a bang-on entrée, and the kind of cousin banter that makes reality TV addictive. Their Bang Bang Cauliflower was the hero of the evening. My mate once tried making cauliflower like that — it came out looking like fried clouds, but Mel and Jacinta’s version had both judges grinning. Spiced Cashew Sauce and Pickled Cucumber, zingy and comforting. I felt their relief just watching.
Then came the main: Braised Beef with Black Rice, a Lime and Corn Salad, and Coconut Roti. It sounded like something you’d order from a trendy fusion spot, but MKR is brutal when it comes to execution. Manu found the beef “really dry.” Colin pointed out the burnt top. I’ve burnt more toast than I’d care to admit, but seeing Manu’s disappointment? Oof. It hurts.
Dessert, though, was where it all went sideways. Tofu Mocha Mousse with Coffee Liqueur and Coconut Sauce — honestly, I wanted to root for them, because tofu desserts can surprise you. But when Colin says, “You should not be able to stand a spoon in mousse,” you know things have gone south. Both judges gave it a three. If mousse were a building material, maybe they’d have won — but on MKR, that’s the culinary equivalent of a “do not pass go.”
My Kitchen Rules 2025
My Kitchen Rules 2025 is the latest season of the popular Australian cooking competition show, where teams of two contestants, usually friends or family members, battle it out in the kitchen for the title of Australia's Best Home Cooks.
