Who went Home on The Voice Last Night?
Three singers went home on The Voice last night. Austin Gilbert, Dustin Dale Gaspard, and Lauren Anderson were all eliminated in the final Knockout episode for season twenty eight.
They each lost their one on one battle. There were no steals or saves in this round. Only the winner in each pairing moved forward to the Playoffs.
From Team Reba, Austin Gilbert went home after his Knockout performance against Peyton Kyle. From Team Niall, Dustin Dale Gaspard was eliminated after his Knockout against Kirbi. From Team Snoop, Lauren Anderson left the show after losing her Knockout to Yoshihanaa.
That left each coach with four artists going into the Playoffs. The remaining singers now carry the pressure of live shows and public votes. The Knockouts ended with a small but tough cut that shaped the top sixteen.
Last Night Recap
Last night finished the Knockouts stage for season twenty eight. The episode aired on November twenty four and closed out the final three matchups before the Playoffs. Each singer chose their own song and then faced a teammate for one last chance to stay in the competition.
The night opened with Team Reba. Austin Gilbert went country with Eight Second Ride. Peyton Kyle picked I Do not Want to Be and leaned into a rock flavored style. Reba praised both singers yet decided Peyton felt more ready for the next round. Austin ended his run there and left Team Reba with four Playoff artists.
On Team Niall, Dustin Dale Gaspard had a tough setup even before the show. He was sick during rehearsal so he worked with mega mentor Joe Walsh through video instead of in person coaching. Dustin chose She Talks to Angels because the lyrics meant a lot to him and he wanted a raw rock moment even though he is rooted more in folk music.
Kirbi stood on the other side in that Knockout. She performed Hard Fought Hallelujah and pushed hard on tone and emotion. Niall said her performance felt undeniable and chose her for his top four. Dustin went home even though the feedback said he gave a strong and heartfelt performance.
The final Knockout of the night came from Team Snoop. Lauren Anderson sang Try and aimed for a big soulful vocal with grit and range. Yoshihanaa chose You are All I Need to Get By and leaned into classic soul phrasing and stage presence. Snoop praised how Lauren kept growing each week yet he felt Yoshihanaa had a special mix of control and power. He named Yoshihanaa the winner so Lauren was eliminated.
Then Snoop made one extra move. He hit his Mic Drop for Yoshihanaa which is the new season twist that sends one artist from each team into a fan vote for a performance at the Rose Parade on New Year Day twenty twenty six. Voting for the Mic Drop artists opened after the show which gave viewers one more way to support their favorites even outside the main competition.
By the end of the episode all four coaches Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Buble had full Playoff teams of four singers each. The Knockouts closed with sixteen artists left and a clear setup for higher stakes live rounds where audience votes will start to matter much more.
