Will There Be a Now You See Me 4? Latest Updates on the Magical Heist Sequel

Will There be a Now You See Me 4?

Now You See Me 4 is in the writing process right now. The studio has greenlit the film, but there is no release date yet. Director Ruben Fleischer is back and says he is overseeing the early work on the script. The movie will keep the focus on magical heists and the familiar Horsemen team. The story isn't set, but the team is working to build on the last film and bring something fresh.

No cast has been locked in yet. Mark Ruffalo's character is expected to have a bigger role if his schedule allows. The third movie brought in the original team and new faces, and the plan is to keep growing that universe with the fourth movie.

Bobby Cohen will produce again, with Alex Kurtzman and Lionsgate also on board. The main idea is to move the timeline forward, not to reboot things. Fleischer says they want to bring back old favourites but also add new twists for fans.

The film is expected to bring more globetrotting, more tricks and more magic shows. Mark Ruffalo made only a brief appearance in the last movie because he was busy with other projects, but the team is hoping for more screen time if he is available.

Box office numbers for the third film were decent, and reviews say it was the best-rated entry in the series so far. That momentum is why the studio is betting on another sequel, even while details on cast and plot are still being decided.

In short, Now You See Me 4 is coming, but it’s still early days. Writing is ongoing. News about casting and filming should come out in a few more months. For now, fans just have to wait for more. All updates as of November 2025.

Now You See Me 3 Ending

The ending of Now You See Me 3, titled "Now You See Me: Now You Don't," focuses on a big twist. The new team of magicians, led by Charlie, pulls off a fake show using deepfakes and holograms. They steal money from a corrupt crypto exchange boss and spread it among the crowd—old Horsemen style.

J. Daniel Atlas, an original Horseman, finds the new trio. He tells them they have talent, then offers for them to join something even bigger. Soon, Atlas and the rookie crew plan a major heist to steal the world's largest diamond from Veronika Vanderberg, a diamond empire boss. The operation calls for disguises, misdirection, and clever swaps. They pull it off but land in trouble.

Veronika captures and locks some of the team in a glass cube. She tries to bury them in the desert. The Horsemen escape using a burst water pipe. The main reveal comes when Charlie exposes he was behind everything—planning the whole scheme for revenge on Veronika, who had a dark past linked to his family. Every clue and fake from the start was part of Charlie’s long game.

In the final sting, Veronika confesses her crimes in front of a live audience, thinking she was alone. The authorities arrest her, and the Horsemen promise to turn her company’s profits back to the people. There's a moment at the end with Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo) appearing via hologram, telling the newcomers their work is just getting started. The Eye, the secret society, still watches, teasing more adventures to come.
