Will There Be a Season 3 of The Buccaneers?

There’s no official Season 3 renewal yet, but the cliffhanger-packed Season 2 finale and chatter among cast and creators make it clear the show wants to continue. Apple TV+ has not given the green light for Season 3 as of August 2025. If you’re a fan holding your breath, you’re not alone—everyone from the actors to the writers seems publicly optimistic (and for good reason, considering the show’s strong viewership and engagement).

Buccaneers Season 2 Cast

Season 2’s casting doubled down on returning talent while adding some intriguing new faces—if you’re invested in these characters, Season 2 delivered.

  • The returning cast is the show’s soul: Kristine Froseth (Nan), Alisha Boe (Conchita), Aubri Ibrag (Jinny), Josie Totah (Mabel), Imogen Waterhouse (Lizzy), and Emmy nominee Christina Hendricks (Patty) anchor the series with palpable chemistry. Add to that Guy Remmers (Theo), Matthew Broome (Guy Thwaite), Josh Dylan, Barney Fishwick, Mia Threapleton, Amelia Bullmore, and Fenella Woolgar for a truly tight ensemble.

  • Season 2 also welcomed major additions: Leighton Meester, Greg Wise, Jacob Ifan, Grace Ambrose, and Maria Almeida—all of whom shake up the social dynamics and create fresh conflict (finally, something other than snipey dinner parties). Maria Almeida’s Cora Merrigan—ambitious and wealthy—injects some new competitive energy, while Grace Ambrose’s Paloma Ballardino is a wild card from her first scene.

Where to Watch Buccaneers Season 2?

Apple TV+. No free streaming, no backdoor deals—Apple’s keeping this one close to the vest. The whole of “The Buccaneers” Season 2 is available exclusively on Apple TV+ worldwide. You might find it on the Apple TV Plus Amazon Channel in some regions, but don’t bother searching for free ad-supported versions—they simply don’t exist (at least not legally).

If you want the latest episodes, Apple TV+ releases them every week, ending with the finale on August 6, 2025. Seriously: just grab the free trial if you’re new, binge it, and decide if it’s worth your money after that.

Apple TV has officially confirmed exciting news for fans of The Buccaneers. As shared by @AppleTV on X, the vibrant period drama has been renewed for a second season.

Buccaneers—from episode guides and detailed character bios to book deviations and spicy fan conjecture. The Wiki pulls in knowledge from Edith Wharton’s original unfinished novel (published in 1938 and later finished by Marion Mainwaring), through to the Netflix/BBC adaptations, and (of course) Apple’s bold, glossy vision.

It’s where you’ll find out why Nan is the most interesting Duchess on streaming right now, dive deep into 1870s high society schemes, and read fan debates about the show’s love triangles, class commentary, and episode soundtracks.
