Yamaha XSR 155 Launch Date
It’s official, folks, the Yamaha XSR 155 is finally rolling out in India on November 11, 2025. Yes, really! If you’re one of those who started waiting when Mask was still in theaters and dial-up was a thing (okay, maybe not quite…), this release will feel overdue. Motorcycle groups have been buzzing; my WhatsApp biker group didn’t talk about anything else last Sunday except the XSR 155’s sleek fuel tank and those retro vibes. My cousin, who swears by his old RX 100, literally sent a GIF of fireworks when the date appeared online.

Yamaha sent out “block your date” invites for November 11, and spy shots of a test mule hit social media so fast, they almost crashed my morning doomscrolling. The prototype looked snappy round LED headlamp, a clean bench seat, a chunky teardrop tank, alloy wheels from the FZ-X, and just enough attitude to tempt cafe racer nerds. Dealers are prepping, the PR machine is humming, and fun fact a friend who’s been nagging Yamaha’s showroom every three months for news is now so happy, he’s threatening to get a launch-day tattoo. (I’m counting on him chickening out.)

Now, about the engine: it’s the familiar liquid-cooled 155cc from the R15 and MT-15, but wrapped in vintage goodness. It’s got a six-speed gearbox, a digital speedo, and make my day a single-channel ABS for those panic stops after showing off at traffic signals. Prices? Most guesses hover at ₹1.60-1.80 lakh; not crazy, considering what you’re getting.
Can’t help but notice how modern-retro is all the rage right now. There’s something joyful about seeing young riders and middle-aged dreamers lining up for test rides, already planning mods and Sunday breakfast runs. If you spot a proud new owner on November 12th pretending not to hear the envy in your voice, be gentle. We’ve been waiting!
