YouTube Premium Lite just launched in India. The plan costs Rs 89 a month. You get ad-free viewing on most videos. It works on phones laptops TVs and tablets.
But the plan has limits. You still see ads on music videos and YouTube Shorts. Ads may still show when searching or browsing. Lite does not let users download videos to watch offline. You cannot play videos in the background either. So if you close the app or switch screens the video stops.
