Omen Removed from Valorant: What Happened to Omen Valorant?

On June 2, 2025, coinciding with Valorant's fifth anniversary, Riot Games temporarily disabled the agent Omen across all game modes due to a significant bug involving his Dark Cover ability. This issue allowed Omen players to see enemy positions through walls while using Dark Cover, effectively granting them wallhack-like advantages.

The bug was first reported by Wolves Esports coach Fayde on X (formerly Twitter), who shared a video demonstrating the exploit.

In response, Riot Games announced the temporary removal of Omen from all queues, including Competitive, Unrated, Deathmatch, and Practice modes, starting from 5:15 PM PT on June 2 and resolve the problem by June 3.

The community's reaction was a mix of concern and humor, with players expressing their thoughts on Omen's sudden absence.

As of now, Riot Games is actively working on a fix, and players are advised to stay tuned for updates regarding Omen's return to the game.

For a visual explanation of the issue, you can watch the following video:

Powers of Omen

Omen’s abilities in Valorant focus on stealth, deception, and control of vision to confuse enemies and gain strategic advantages. Here’s a breakdown of his powers:

1. Shrouded Step (C)

Omen can teleport a short distance to a nearby location. This lets him reposition quickly, surprise enemies, or escape danger.

2. Paranoia (Q)

Omen sends out a shadowy projectile in a straight line that passes through walls, briefly reducing the vision and deafening enemies it hits. It’s great for initiating fights or disrupting opponents’ setups.

3. Dark Cover (E)

Omen throws a spherical, shadowy smoke orb that creates a large, opaque smoke screen that blocks vision. This smoke can be placed at long distances and can also be controlled in flight. It’s used to block enemy sightlines or safely cross open areas.

4. From the Shadows (Ultimate - X)

Omen’s ultimate allows him to teleport anywhere on the map as a shadowy phantom. While teleporting, his original body remains in place and vulnerable. If killed before the teleport finishes, the ultimate is canceled. If successful, Omen appears at the new location, allowing for flanking or gathering intel.
