Vivo X300 and X300 Pro Launch Date
Vivo’s gearing up to drop its new flagship duo, the X300 and X300 Pro, in India really soon, confirmed by Vivo itself just this Wednesday, but they’re playing coy about the exact launch date. Word on the street is early December, so honestly, if you’re itching for a top-tier Android, maybe hold off before splurging elsewhere. On X, @Vivo_India teased the upcoming #vivoX300Series, saying, "What once was beyond reach is now all yours to capture," with the launch coming soon.
The series first hit China in October, then Europe, and yeah, finally, we’ve got a Flipkart microsite teasing an India launch, so that’s no rumor. Both the X300 and X300 Pro are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip. The global variant rocks the same 3nm architecture, promising major flagship performance, and probably a treat for anyone who games or edits on their phone instead of a laptop.
You’re getting Zeiss-branded triple rear cameras no matter which model you pick; the Pro’s got a wild 200-megapixel periscope camera (with up to 100x digital zoom, honestly, how much zoom does one person need?), 50MP main and ultrawide shooters, basically a mobile photography studio if your arm’s steady.
Color options vary, with the Pro strutting out in Wilderness Brown, Simple White, Free Blue, and Pure Black, and, fun fact, the vanilla X300’s getting an India-only red version. Makes sense, red phones are always a statement. Price-wise, actual Indian numbers haven’t dropped, but the China tags give us a ballpark: the X300 starts at CNY 4,399 (around ₹54,700) for the base 12GB/256GB setup; the top X300 at 16GB/1TB is CNY 5,799 (about ₹72,900). X300 Pro’s kicking off at CNY 5,299 (₹65,900), rocketing to CNY 6,699 (₹83,300) for the full-fat ultra-storage beast, expect prices a little north of that once they shuffle over to India, because, well, import duties and the usual bump.
Feature-wise, both models share a lot under the hood: 120Hz LTPO 1.5K AMOLED displays (X300’s at 6.31 inches; Pro beefs it up to 6.78 inches), peak brightness topping 4,500 nits (if you use your phone outside, this is a dream), and killer Armor Glass protection. Battery tech is fire X300’s packing a 6,040mAh cell, Pro goes up to 6,510mAh, both with rapid 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, so you’re not babysitting a charger all day. Each phone comes loaded with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, meaning, yeah, you’ll struggle to fill it up unless you’re hoarding movies or shooting 8K videos.
Both run Origin OS 6 based on Android 16—a first for Vivo, finally stepping away from FuntouchOS. The standard X300 flexes a 200MP Samsung HPB main camera, 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP periscope lens, with a 50MP front cam for those high-res selfies or Zoom meetings that you definitely didn’t dress up for. IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance are baked i,n so drop it in the sink or survive a rainstorm, it’ll be fine.
