Tamilnadu Postal Circle Recruitment 2012 – 621 Postal & Sorting Asst Vacancies: Tamilnadu Postal Circle has issued notification for recruitment of 621 Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant Vacancies. Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format on or before 01-10-2012. Tamilnadu Postal Circle Vacancy Details:
Total No of Vacancies: 621
Names of Posts:
1. Postal Assistant: 415 posts
2. Sorting Assistant: 88 posts
3. Postal Assistant (Returned Letter Office): 01 post
4. Postal Assistant (Mail Motor Service): 03 posts
5. Postal Assistant (Foreign Post Organization): 05 posts
6. Postal Assistant: (SBCO): 109
Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 18 to 27 years as on 01-10-2012. (Age relaxations will be extended as per rules).
Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess 10+2 Standard or 12th Class pass with at least 60 % marks and above from any recognized University with English as a compulsory subject and should have studied local language of the State or Union Territory of the Postal Circle concerned or Hindi as Subject at least in Matriculation or equivalent.
Application Fee Details: Applicants need to pay Examination Fee of Rs. 200/- (No fee for SC/ST/PH and Women candidates) and it should be deposited in a Post Office of the circle and obtain ACG-67/UCR receipt, Rs. 50/- for Application form and it is available at all All Head Post offices and identified Post offices in the Circles from 11-08-2012 to 25-09-2012.
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Aptitude Test, Typing Test/Computer Test.
How to Apply: Eligible Candidates may apply through prescribed application format available at all Head Post offices and identified Post offices in the Circles. Dully filled application form along with Copies of relevant certificates and original receipt of ACG-67/UCR issued by the identified Post Office of this Circle towards payment of Examination fee have to be sent to “Direct Recruitment Cell, New Delhi HO, New Delhi-110001″ on or before 01-10-2012 through Speed Post/Registered Post of India Post only.

As per the notification the candidates who are below 27 years as on 01/10/2012. The age is relaxable up to 3 years i.e. 30 years for the OBC candidates.
I am from Andhra Pradesh and my mother language is Telugu. I would like to let you know that we had English subject in 10+2 and Hindi subject in 10th class, but I can’t speak Tamil language. Are we eligible to apply for Tamilnadu Postal Circle?

As per the notification the candidates should have studied the local language of the state/ union Territory of the postal circle concerned or Hindi as a subject at least in Matriculation or equivalent to apply for the vacancies in Tamil Nadu postal circle.

As per the notification ACG-67/UCR is the receipt which is after paying the amount in the post office. Female candidates need not pay any amount.

As per the notification the candidates who completed 12th standard as a regular form a recognized university are only eligible to apply for the posts of Tamil Nadu postal circle. The vocational candidates are excluded.
