SSB Recruitment 2012 – 132 HC (Ministerial) Vacancies
Sashastra Seema Bal - 118 HC & Constable Vacancies 2012: Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has issued notification against recruitment of 118 Head Constable (HC) and Constable vacancies of Group C Non Gazatted (Combatised), Para Veterinary Cadre. Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format on or before 15-09-2012. Sashastra Seema Bal Vacancy Details:
Total Number of Vacancies: 118
Names of Posts:
1. Head Constable (Veterinary) – 68 vacancies
2. Constable (Veterinary) – 50 vacancies
Age Limit: Candidates’ age must be between 18 yrs and 25 yrs for HC Post and between 18 and 23 yrs for Constable Post. Cutoff date for determining age limit would be 15-09-2012. (Age relaxations will be extended as per Govt. rules).
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed Intermediate for HC post and Matriculation for Constable Post. Both posts would require one year experience.
Application Fee Details: General and OBC candidates need to pay application fee of Rs. 50/- in form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, FTR HQ SSB, Siliguri payable at SBI Siliguri Code 0184. Or fee can also be paid in form of IPO which must be drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, FTR HQ SSB Siliguri, West Bengal. SC/ST/EXSM/Female candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of Documentation, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Examination, Final Medical Examination and Review Medical Examination.
How to Apply: Candidates need to download application format available in the notification, fill it with all mandatory details, attach photograph, attest signature, super scribe the name of the post to be applied for on the envelope and send it along with payment receipt, two self addressed envelopes with Rs. 25/- stamps affixed and Copies of all relevant certificates, to the following address, Inspector General, Frontier HQ SSB, Siliguri Vill: Ranidanga, PO: Matigara, Dist: Darjeeling, (WB) Pin: 734 010 on or before 15-09-2012.

As per the notification the candidates who have completed Intermediate are eligible for HC post and who passed Matriculation are eligible for Constable Post. Both posts would require one year experience

As per the notification the candidates must have completed Intermediate for HC post (i.e. post code 1) and Matriculation for Constable Post (i.e. post code 2) . Both posts would require one year experience.

As per the notification the candidate who completed Matriculation with science from a recognized board is eligible to apply for the post of constable (veterinary). But 1 year experience in treatment of different spices of animals in a recognized veterinary hospital is desirable.

As per the notification, the candidate applying for the vacancies in SSB must be more than 18 years and less than 25 years for the post code 1.
The candidate age should be more than 18 years and less than 23 years for the post code 2.
