Airports Authority of India (AAI), Radio Construction and Development Unit (RCDU), Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi has released Notification No. 01/IAU/RCDU-2025-26 dated 24 March 2026 for the engagement of 10 Graduate and Diploma Apprentices (05 Graduate Apprentices + 05 Diploma Apprentices) under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for RCDU/FIU/CRSD & E&M Workshop and its related units at Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi.

AAI RCDU Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates who wish to apply for AAI RCDU Graduate & Diploma Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria regarding nationality, year of passing, age limit and educational qualification as specified in the official notification.
AAI RCDU Apprentice Age Limit 2026
- Maximum Age: 27 years as on 24 November 2025.
- Age relaxation as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD and other reserved categories will be applicable.
AAI RCDU Apprentice Educational Qualification 2026
- For Graduate Apprentice (Technical): Candidates should possess a full-time regular four-year Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in Electronic & Communication/Electronic & Instrumentation/Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or related streams recognized by AICTE, Government of India.
- For Graduate Apprentice (General Stream): Candidates should possess a regular/correspondence/distance three-year degree in B.Com/BA/B.Sc/BBA/BCA from a recognized university.
- For Diploma Apprentice (Technical): Candidates should possess a full-time regular three-year Diploma in Engineering in Electronic & Communication/Electronic & Instrumentation/Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)/Material Management or related streams recognized by AICTE, Government of India.
- Year of Passing: Only those candidates who have passed their degree or diploma in the year 2021 or after 2021 are eligible to apply for AAI RCDU Apprentice Recruitment 2026.
- Nationality & Domicile: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with domicile of Delhi or NCR area.
- Candidates who have already completed their apprenticeship or terminated it midway or are currently pursuing apprenticeship in other organizations or in AAI with the same qualification level are not eligible.
- Candidates who have job experience or training for a period of 1 year or more after obtaining their educational qualification are not eligible as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.
AAI RCDU Apprentice Selection Process 2026
The AAI RCDU Graduate & Diploma Apprentice Recruitment 2026 selection process will be based on a walk-in interview-cum-document verification on 27 March 2026 followed by medical fitness certification at the time of joining.
Stage 1 – Walk-in Interview-cum-Document Verification
- All candidates who have registered on the NATS portal (NATS Portal ID: NDLNDC000087) for the AAI RCDU Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must attend the walk-in interview-cum-document verification on 27 March 2026 from 1000 hrs to 1800 hrs at the AAI RCDU Training Centre, Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi.
- Candidates must bring the following original documents along with one photocopy set: University Registration No./Roll No./Enrollment No., Final Degree/Diploma Certificate/Consolidated Marksheet, Name of College/University, Percentage of marks or CGPA (and its equivalent formula), Branch of study, Month and year of passing, Aadhaar Card copy, Bank details, Valid personal Email ID & Mobile No., Passport size photograph, and PAN Card copy.
- Provisional selection of candidates will be merit-based and the decision of AAI will be final and binding.
Stage 2 – Medical Fitness Certificate
- The final selection will be based on successful interaction, verification of original certificates and testimonials, and submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate (to be obtained only from a Government Medical Officer or Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking) at the time of joining.
- The candidature of applicants is purely provisional and subject to verification of all certificates and documents.
AAI has no obligation to provide regular or contractual employment to apprentices upon completion of the training program. This apprenticeship does not create any liability on AAI for employment or placement.
AAI RCDU Apprentice Application Fee 2026
There is no application fee required for AAI RCDU Apprentice Recruitment 2026 for any category of candidates (General/OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PwBD). AAI does not collect any application fee or any other type of fees for this apprenticeship engagement.
How to Apply for AAI RCDU Apprentice Recruitment 2026
The application process for AAI RCDU Graduate & Diploma Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is online through the NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) portal. Candidates must register on the NATS portal and then attend the walk-in interview-cum-document verification on 27 March 2026.
- Step 1: Visit the official NATS portal at https://www.nats.education.gov.in and click on the student registration link or use the direct student registration URL: https://moenats.aicte-india.org/student_register.php.
- Step 2: Complete your enrollment on the NATS portal by entering basic details (Name, Father/Mother's name, Aadhaar number), educational details (Course/Institute details, University Reg. No./Roll No., final degree/diploma certificate, percentage of marks or CGPA, branch of study, month and year of passing), communication information (Address, Mobile No., valid personal Email ID), training preference (Preferred field/location for apprenticeship), and bank details.
- Step 3: Upload scanned copies of your Final Degree/Diploma Certificate/Consolidated Marksheet (PDF format, size less than 1 MB) and Passport size photograph (JPEG format, size less than 1 MB).
- Step 4: After completing enrollment on NATS portal, search for the establishment "Airports Authority of India – RCDU/FIU & E&M/Workshop, Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi" using NATS Portal ID: NDLNDC000087 and click the "Apply" button in the next page.
- Step 5: After successful application, the message "Successfully applied for the training position. Based on availability, you will be contacted by the establishment" will appear.
- Step 6: For general stream candidates (B.Com/BA/BSc/BBA/BCA), after registering on the NATS portal, submit your application in a single PDF file to the email address [email protected].
- Step 7: Ensure your application reaches AAI on or before 27 March 2026 till 1630 hrs. No application will be received after this deadline.
- Step 8: All candidates who have registered on the NATS portal must attend the walk-in interview-cum-document verification on 27 March 2026 from 1000 hrs to 1800 hrs at the venue: Airports Authority of India, Radio Construction and Development Unit, IAU-HR Unit - Training Centre, Opposite AAI Officers' Institute/Club, Behind Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi - 110003.
Candidates applying for more than one discipline will not be considered and their application will be rejected. Influence of any kind will result in cancellation of candidature.
