10. Score Calculator
Our exam score calculators work out your estimated score and your rank among the candidates who checked on FreeJobAlert. They are run by FreeJobAlert. This section explains what the calculator does with your information. The rest of this policy also applies.
What we collect when you check your score
- Your response sheet link. We use it once, to open your sheet on the official exam portal. It is stored encrypted until then and removed as soon as the sheet is read. We keep only a one-way code of it, so the same link is recognized if you paste it again.
- From your sheet: your answer to each question, your score, your exam shift (date and time) and the category printed on the sheet.
- Your name and roll number, masked only, so your result page can show they are yours. We also keep a one-way code of the roll number, so each candidate's sheet counts only once.
- The details you choose on the form: category, gender, RRB zone or state, and paper language.
- Never: your photo, password, date of birth, registration number or a copy of your sheet.
-
How we use it
- To calculate your score, with the official answer key and later the final key.
- To show your rank, percentile and averages among candidates who checked on FreeJobAlert. Others see only counts and ranks, never your details.
- To confirm the answer key shift by shift, from what candidates' sheets show.
Who can see your result Your result page has its own private link. Anyone you give that link to can see it, so share it only if you want to. Result pages are hidden from search engines. Like every page on our website, the result page shows ads, and the ad network sees the page's address.
How long we keep it
- Your answers, result link, masked name and roll number and the one-way codes are deleted 90 days after the board publishes the final answer key.
- If the exam board does not publish a final answer key, we delete this information no later than 12 months after the date that examâs score calculator went live.
- After deletion we keep only anonymous totals (how many candidates scored what, by category, gender, region and language). They cannot identify you.
- Records of our system's work that hold no personal details (for example, how long a sheet took to open) are kept for one year.
Cookies When you check a sheet, the calculator stores one cookie in your browser for 180 days. It only remembers which results this browser checked, so that only you can change or delete them. Ads on our pages may use their own cookies, as described in this policy.
Your choices
- Delete your result at any time: paste your response sheet link again on the calculator page, then choose "Delete my data" on your result page. Your result is removed at once and for good; the rank counts update within minutes.
- Questions or requests about your information, or a complaint: write us at [email protected].
Not an official result The score and rank are FreeJobAlert estimates for guidance. The official result is the one your exam board publishes.
